We donated PLN 200,000 to help flood victims in Poland

Equipment including power generators, dehumidifiers and industrial fans worth over 200,000 PLN funded by our foundation and items donated as a part of our charity collection organized in JohnnyBros office were provided to the victims of the September flood.

The struggle of the inhabitants of southern Poland due to the flood in the middle of September will be remembered as a tragic moment in the history of our country. The news from Kłodzko, Głuchołazy, Lądek-Zdrój or Nysa spread all over Europe and brought back the nightmare scenario from 1997.

“We couldn’t stay indifferent to these events - that’s why we have immediately decided to help the victims, who had lost everything they owned in a second. We have contacted the witnesses of the devastating power of the flood and made the decision to donate 200,000 PLN to help the victims” Julian Pawlukiewicz, the chairman of JohnnyBros Foundation, explains. He adds, “We wanted to help the flood victims to return to their flats of houses as soon as possible and begin the difficult process of rebuilding their local communities.”

All of the funds were spent on specialist equipment, which, just a few days after the beginning of our action, has been provided to local crisis management teams in the south of the country. The equipment included:

• 14 power generators,

• 20 industrial fans.

At the same time, in our office in the Haxo building at Strzelecka street, we were collecting items for the flood victims. We were encouraging everyone to support those in need by donating products that could help them to get back to their usual daily routines.

“Again, it turned out that we can work together in the most difficult situations. We have collected a lot of building materials, cement, brushes, scrapers, kilograms of cleaning and sanitary supplies, blankets, sleeping bags, books for kids or even boards that can be used for building wardrobes or other useful pieces of furniture”, Michał Kozłowski, the spokesman of JohnnyBros Foundation, explains.

All donated goods have been transported to the south of Poland, where they are distributed according to current needs.
